Hi all, just a bit of advise needed. I'm going to replace the windows in the Riviera with pespex/polycarbonate..........rang around today and a 2400 X 1200 sheet of 3mm smoked perspex is $122.............whereas polycarbonate is $260.........what is your advise....... the guy at the plastic supply place said he wouldn't recommend any thinner for windows......does this sound right? And is polycarbonate worth the money over perspex?

Hi, I am fairly certain that we have perspex in our van, and we have been using it for 12 months now, and it is fine. But we have been told that you cannot use silicone with perspex, dont know if its the same for polycarbonate. Impala

Advantages......... You can do it yourself...cutting to size, and putting it in. You can replace a piece you stuff up! You can store it with safety at home. And during school holidays, your windows (glass) won't get broken by little ass*&*$#+s on school holidays.......as we have had happen here. Ash, I would use the perspex over the polycarbonate, and I will.

Thanks Peter! I was wondering if was all a "bait & switch" sales ploy from the sales guy.........he advised polycarbonate as it is more shatter resistant etc.............but at twice the price is it that much more worth it.......I think I'll go with the perspex after all
