Hi All
I attended my bike club AGM meeting on Tues night. They have recieved an invitation from the organisers of the
"Inaugural Stockton Vintage Family Fair".
This event is to be held at Griffen Park Stockton ( on the North shore of newcastle Harbour) on sunday 18th January 2009.
The event will be open for set up from 7.00am until 9.30am. Opening to the public at 10.00am and concluding at 4.00pm.
Costs are $10 per exhibitor. All money raised will be donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Trophy for best car and best bike will be awarded... ( WOT NO CARAVAN AWARD... Hmmmmppphhh)
Other stalls and static displays on the day.
I have a sheet for the Norton Club and i have registered my 1968 Norton commando fastback ,1956 Norton ES2 and Trisha 1934 BSA as exhibits on the day with the Norton club.
I have also photocopied the club registration form on the off chance that there might be a few of us here vintage van tragics might want to band together and strut our stuff.. so to speak.
We have until the 18th of December to lodge the "Club" entry form. So if anyone is keen on tagging along for the day please show an expression of interst here on this thread and send me a pm with your full name and what van you will be displaying.
The organisers postal address is
Mr Terry Cousins
31 williams Street Stockton
NSW 2295
Contact : terry 0400923899
The way the entry form is set up we have to list each exhibit /model/year and exhibitors name on the sheet and then forward one cheque as a club.
So... i will be there with the bike club and 2 bikes. i will have to take the ute to get them there so i may as well have a van on the towball. Anyone interested in tagging along?? I know its the weekend before Motorfest but it is a great opportunity for us Hunter Valley people to display our vans on the banks of the Hunter River with the magnificent backdrop of Newcastle city across the harbour.
Travellers are welcome to swing their vans into my backyard on saturday night (BYOG) to save the early morning drive up from Sydney or down the coast/valley on sunday morning.
Stockton is less than 1/2hr from reddo central.
Please consider!!!
Cheers
Reddo
