Hi All,
My name is Damian and thanks to Cobber pointing me in the right direction I am the owner of a 1959 Atlantic. I pick it up this week.
The tow car is a 69 Rover P5b but it doesnt have a tow bar. Does anyone know of a place in Sydney or the Central Coast where I can get one made up? They were an option but I cant find one for love nor money.
Otherwise, is it legal to make your own? I wouldnt thing that it was but if it is, I would just do it myself.
Cheers
Damian

G'day Damian, Welcome to the forum, I'm pleased you liked the Atlantic..... did you get to have a look in Arthur's garage . For a tow bar get in touch with this mob or contact “Carasel“ direct, may not be the cheapest way to do it but it probably won't break. www.shop1auto.com.au/tow%20bars.htmwww.carasel.com.au/Cobber.

Thanks for the tips guys. I will try them all out and see how far I get.
As for Arthurs garage, I spent more time in there than I did with the van!!! Interesting he uses it as a tow vehicle for the Atlantic too!

Sounds like you are on the Central Coast mate. I got mine all done by Kendys at Erina.

Cheers guys but managed to find a used one for $100 so thats about right.
I went to Hendy's as I saw an old van in the corner thinking it may be a bargain but I almost choked when I saw the price. Didnt look that old either so wouldnt have suited the Rover.
I think the gravitational pull of the expensive new caravans next to it bumped up the price.
