Hi Everybody We are currently doing up an old '60s 'Koorong' that we towed up from Bendigo. I am trying to track down some replacement window seals for the side windows with a hinge at the top. I have scoured the web but have not had any luck I even went to Spectrum rubber in St Mary's who deal with old motor vehicle rubber... but again no luck. The crux is the section of the profile that slides into the channel - I will attempt to attach rough diagram of it here. This is the closest match that I have found online, but I have only found a supplier in England... but the channel profile looks similar. Do any of you have any suggestions? I eagerly await your comments. Dan

A further note - attached is a photo of the construction. You can see the windows that I am talking about on the side of the van. We are fast tracking things so as we can take the van away with us at christmas time! ;D ;D ;D Very best regards Dan

Hi Dan
I don't know which area you are in but I would suggest Clark Rubber, they have a big range of auto mouldings. Also windscreen repair company's are a good source.
Cheers Jim

Hi Hotrodbus
I would really appreciate the details of the rubber man that you mention in your reply. I can send him a sample of the rubber that I am trying to match - that is probably the best approach.
Cheers
Dan

G'day Dan,
If I were you I would give the "CAMEC" people in your state a ring........ they carry about three different rubbers for aluminium windows.
Let's know how you go.
Cobber.

Dan, If you would like to perhaps send me a PM with your address I will send you a sample of section that I have had run that suits these old windows. I have found out so far that their was 2 different window sections that were similar and so have had both of them run off. Regards Larry

hi Dan, Am I correct in assuming the rubber you are chasing for the outside edge of the window? I will also have need for similar soon. Cheers, Gristy

Hi Gristy
Yes the rubber is for the outside edge of the window. It seals between the window and the wall. Does the profile appear to be similar to yours?
Cheers
Dan
