Hi All,
Well I think I've finally got thru what I set out to do for mark.
I've removed duplications, invalid email adresses, & got all that are still members committed to Marks agreement.
Along the way i've removed 557 names from the forum, plus a lot have removed themselves as a result of the email requesting they commit to the agreement.
We had 847 members on 3rd Sept, & now have 314 (genuine) members.
Now everyone that is a member should have agreed.
I have left Trev & Carrots original postings untouched, & kept them on the member list out of respect for Trevor.
I'll keep my eye out for duplications in the future, but I think most are gone. I removed 2 more today that I hadnt found.
The rule that I've been given to work to is one member per email adress.

Hi Leigh,
If you go into your "Profile" and then "Modify Profile", you can alter your "display name", but keep your log-in name. You can change back and forth as you like.

Thanks Daggsey,
I actually want to do it the other way. My log in name, which is the one which is displayed in the "members" section is the one I would like to change.

Hi Sportsman 1,
I hope I can get this right.
The name you join the forum under is fixed for the life of the membership. That is your "username", the name you log on with every time you enter the Forum. It cannot be changed under that membership.
If you click on your profile, you will be shown as your member name. That is the name you wish to be displayed on your profile when you log on, & the same name is shown in the member list.
Just a while back I changed my member name to JBJ, but I still log on with jailbarjuice as my user name.. When I changed my member name, all of the member names on my posts changed instantly.
Holly Wood Daggs has just found out the same happened for him.
I dont see any problems with anyone changing their member name, as you dont really change anything except what appears in your profile when you post.
Hope this doesnt appear to confusing for anyone.
I had an instance recently where a member rejoined under a new name, because they wanted to change what they appeared as. Could have just changed member name this way much easier.

Thanks guys.
Looks like I am stuck with "griff"
It was just if someone wanted to find Sportsman 1 it does not come up anywhere on the members list, and griff does not relate back to Sportsman 1 in any way.
Suppose no one would bother looking for me anyway. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
cheers to all, Leigh.

Thank, and my humblest apologies to all concerned.
I have just gone in and had another look and lo and behold it is in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You must be a top bloke Dennis, certainly had me fooled.
I will toddle off to a dark, distant corner and play with Hilda instead of annoying you guys.
thanks, Leigh.
