Hi Reddo & others
humour is in most things, including a big percentage of the discussions on this forum.
It is thankfully part of a lot of true Australians way of life, speaking & writing included.
That part of humour is not even slightly in danger of being removed, nor is it ( as I see it) in risk in any way.
I'm far from a prude, & even considered personally offensive by more than a few people, but I dont like the way straight out jokes aree headed on this forum, basically for the same reasons as Don Ricardo set out.
I see this not as a restriction on anyones freedom, but an attempt to remove an area that has crept in recently, & is causing greif to a lot of members.
Surely we call accept some control in our life. We all have to drive on the same side of the road, & stop at stop signs. Our speed is controlled.
Why cant we not post jokes, & work together at trying to work out why people are leaving the forum because of various reasons, such as not liking the direction it (supposedly) is heading.
This feeling isnt completely caused by Mark shutting the Forum , & introducing a behaviour agreement.
I dont know what it is, but to me the reductions in posting activity & lack of humour that normally is in a large share of them, was a factor.
Posting of jokes as a singular medium has only recently gained strength, & should it continue as its been with the dirty sense of humour types predominating, we will have a major problem.

HEY 'AROLD..... PAY ATTENTION !!
From my reading of this new law the highlighted paragraph is aimed directly at YOU (and a couple of others).
With your natural propensity to foolishness... wit... spontaneous humour and ability to take the mick out of people in a good natured way... that's the only type of humour this forum needs to keep it humming along.
The regurgitation of smutty school boy jokes that most of us have heard before (at school) or can read on any one of a hundred joke sites on the internet is boring... unnecessary, and requires no skill on the part of the person doing the regurgitating, and I just don't think this great hobby of ours...... Vintage Caravans...... is such a boring subject that it needs that sort of junk to keep it alive.
The cancer you mentioned has been building UP.... with a bit of luck it will now go into remission.

Hi Greenchoky Welcome to the forum. Like the rest of us in the past you are having trouble putting up your photos of your van. Dont get frustrated . just take 3 deep breaths and ...................... Follow this link to "Jims instructions for posting photos" vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=1176If the link does noy work go to the "members photo Album" and read the very first post in that section. stay cool and we look forward to seeing your pride and joy soon. Hi Greenchocky,
Once you,ve got your pix in pfhotobucket to that stage you're nearly there.
Left click on the img code hilites in yellow "Copied", so then right click & a window opens. Select copy.
Then go back to the vintage van page you've started to prepare your posting on, then simply left click where you want the picture to go, then when the window opens select "Paste"
Its amazing how easy it is when you get photobucket worked out. It only took me over a year.
When I, or maybe one of the other moderators, get time I'll transfer this post & your previous one to a more suitable thread,
JBJ
