Earlier this year I got some great help from some members in trying to Identify my little van. During the restoration project I sandblasted the chases and found a serial or model number in the drawbar ( WK 18 ) could this be an early Wee-Kenda # 18? I am fairly confident the van was built in 1955 or 6 as it had 1956 newspaper under the floor covers. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Skywagon

Skywagon, That's a nice thing to find and I would reckon you're spot on with your guess that it identifies you 'van as a "Super light wee-Kenda". I think you may have already been directed to the Super light page in "Down History Lane" haven't you @ ? vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=chat&action=display&thread=2051You might like to put this great restoration project in your own thread in the "Members Photos" forum, then we can watch your progress...... one of the moderators can do this for you, that's what we pay them for Cobber.

Thanks Cobber for your advice. The thread on the Wee-Kenda and photos have convinced me that my van is definitely a Wee-Kenda and dates from 55 or 56. This is great as I was convinced I was never going to identify her. I will look into setting up some progress photos in the members photo forum.
regards Skywagon ;D
