good choice reddo. the early holden trade could be a plus for you.
i have a small lust for this little beauty myself.
two things cooled me down though.
would have to sell the crown to finance it (not quite ready to do this yet) and jude's least favourite colour is yellow.
good luck and hope to see you in a ford soon (promise to not tell any bad holden jokes when you come over from the "other" side).
geoff 'n jude

Hey Reddo, Stupid me didn't think about the mature age thing properly... You should see your doctor, he can give you some tablets to fix the hormone imbalance, then you can mature properly.. You're SO hopeless at keeping secrets... I'm pretty sure i've seen this car in person at a show not so long ago, not my cup of tea, but very nice still the same. There was another at the All American Show in Flemington earlier in the year with electric windows and air con etc as well... Don't you listen to those Brand Nazis, I have owned or at least driven, just about one of every main stream car manufacturers products and I am of the firm opinion that they all made at least 2 pieces of crap they called a car... I know, why don't you: Keep the Holden and tow an Fibreglass Buy a Ford and tow a Bondy Buy a Chrysler/Valiant/Dodge and tow a Ally clad, timber framed and fibreglass lined van. Then you could mix n match and keep everyone confused! Do whatever makes you smile I reckon... ;D Cheers Chris

Watch what ya sayin thar Collide... I resemble that.............. Here ya go..... Crime ... sin......A post 1980 tow car Was gunna ring up and complain to the seller that it didnt have any window winders.... then Col pointewd out its got electric windows Bought from Devonport in Tassie. Shipped to Melbourne on the Spirit of Tasmania. I flew to Melbourne the other saturday. Picked up by the Kaybees ( Thanks heaps again Col and Kris) . Driven to the docks to collect the car. Back to the Kaybees for a cuppa . Over to Phill Mundys to check out his magnificent FX and FJ collection with Col in the 34 Coupe. . Back to Kaybees....... into the Chev and then drove up to Holbrook for the night. Got "on the suds at the pub near the sub". Got away early sunday morning Right side front brake caliper came loose at Gundagai. No tools allowed on the plane so I called the NRMA roadside assistance mob. . First comment was... "Thats an american car. i cant fix that"...... . I got him to open his workshop and found the right allen key to fit the caliper bolts. Tightened them up myself. Checked the other side and then drove off. Averaging between 18 to 20 MPG highway running. I suppose i should mention its a petrol 262 C.i V6 with 5 speed manual. 110KPH @ 1800 RPM. 2" dropped spindles in the front . Lowered 2" in rear with notched chassis so diff housing doesnt hit chassis rails. Looking at air bagging the back end to stiffen it up for loads on the back and towing vans. Had to ditch the November tas rego and do a full NSW blue slip inspection . Ute now has 12 months reg so i will burn a bit of that up before i would consider selling it. Burnt shit out of my eyes tack welding a towbar together under the car last tuesday night. welding shield has broken lense .... silly bugger. Bar is now finished fitted. Ebay ya say....... ;D Reddo

Hey hey, great looking SENIOR YOOT, Reddo!! Haha. If nothing else at least you`re keeping with the General Motors theme. 262 / 5 Speed !! Yeah, kick asses them. Some ambo tint, cuppla Lakes pipes / stacks if they`re rego allowable will certainly give it a tougher look. Saw a very highly modded FJ at Wintersun running Lakes through the sills so guess they`re allowable. How`s that song go? Tac it up tac it up buddy gonna shut you down. haha Go get `em Reddo.

;D Dont panic Dossie. I havent left the Holden ranks. In fact i very nearly bought a modified FJ Ute that done the rounds on ebay. When i first seen it on ebay i rang and offered the seller $15,000. sight unseen. He declined the offer. i then went and had a look at it... about 3/4hr from home... I'm glad i did. Although a lot had been done it and it had a million dollar paint job, it still needed around another 3 to 5K spent finishing it off. which would have made it dearer than the Chev. . I also still drop in on the photos i have of that old Studebaker out at Broken Hill that i had a look at on the way home from the 2006 Vint van nats and think ....hmmm... still have his phone number. Would need a major make over ( 350 /Auto etc) she is a stocker and even with the optional 4 speed box runs out of puff at 40 MPH. I forgot to mention in the last post about coming home from VIC that i was headin' up the highway near the light horseman interchange out Penrith way ( western sydney). Thought i would give Chippydave a call. Just as i picked up the mobile ( naughty, no no naughty) i noticed 3 kids on the high bank beside me . It was about then i heard a bang. A rock about the size of a 10 cent piece cannoned off the bonnet and up the windscreen> if it had landed 1 second earlier it would have come through the screen at me. Heaven help the little bastards if i ever come across one of these little parasites in the act. I will do time in the slot for murder. And i will not regret rippin thier heads of and Sh!ttin down thier necks. Reddo

hi Reddo,
Thats scarey when something like that happens.
at least it didnt hurt you.
No matter what anyone tries to do prevent this sort of thing happening, it wont stop the kids doing what they feel is their right to express themselves.

Hi JBJ They call those new fences on the overpasses "Suuicide fences" desigjned to stop people topping themselves by jumping off the bridge into oncoming traffic.
It was in roughly the same area ( M7) where a truck driver was killed by a rock dropped off the overpass through the windscreen of his truck. The rock was the size of a soccerball.
It is with this vision in my mind that i will deal out rough justice to any little parasite i manage to lay my hands on doing this sort of pre meditated activity. They have no respect for other peoples lives an i will ensure i have no respect for theirs while i am chocking the last breath out or 'em.
