Guys, i read somewhere on here recently about someone doing rust or paint stripping..?
I mean to make comment at the time, but forgot and now can't find the post.
Basically someone mentioned about not liking picking wire brush bits out of themselves in the evening etc and various strippers, 3m products from Bunnings etc.
What i was going to say was that when using wire brushes in grinders you need to be mindful of one thing. Many wire brushes are rated to a maximum safe rpm, i think from memory around 15 or 18000 rpm. Extreme care should be taken as many grinders available these days can exceed the maximum rpm recommendation and this makes the wires coming out even worse. I can't recall the brand name, but the red capped brand (a good one) are very clear about these guidelines on the packaging...
The other comment was about paint strippers. Having checked, i agree with the use of the yellow can brand from Bunnings that was pictured, much cheaper and has the same chemical mix as the expensive brands...
Cheers Chris..
