Aw gee............. I don't know, haven't bought "On the Road" for a few years.
What do you reckon Bruce, should I get it or would I suffer less indigestion if I just go to the paper shop and have a sneak look at page 38 ?
Cobber.

Hey Bruce, I had a sneak look at that article in the paper shop today and thought to myself.... it's about “Matilda” !....I'll buy that! That's a great story Reddo, they even got the web site address right and spelt your name right, and why wouldn't they ? Another article promoting Vintage caravans from our very own Paparazzi. Ya better back off now mate or people will start calling you a poser . Cobber.

G'Day Cobber. I got all emotional after seeing the article and i towed Matilda to Clarendon on the weekend as a bit of a treat for her.. She is not real happy behind the lowered HR Ute a bit too much "Nose down" attitude on the towball and gets the sways up going down hill at anything over 70 mph Had to use 2 lanes of the Moonee Moonee bridge and a bit of cautious application of brakes to keep her in line. I will feel much safer towing the most fabulousist ever , love of my life, till death us do part, Fobbergross sunliner to MT Gambier ;D. They cut the breeze really good.. should be able to average 80MPH all day.... Thats if i dont get held up by a wobbly old bloke in a wobbly old FJ with a wobbly old ply wood '36 van on behind. This shouldnt be too much of a problem i will just sit in behind him and wait till he gets to the next major town and he has to stop for interviews with the media Not long now dad... See at the mount on Monday 17th.. Your adoring son 'Arold.

Reddo, (disgraced, expelled ex-member of the R.S.P.P.C. ) Not real sure..... but I think you might be referring to me above as the “wobbly one” and you can bet if you get behind me you will be held up. When Ol' 36 was designed and built the legal top speed for a caravan was 30mph. With discrete modifications I can now get her up to 50mph on a straight road with a good surface and no side wind or trucks passing in either direction. Towing Ol' 36 with the FJ to the Mount will be no picnic I suspect, so if you do come across us on the road a tooheys or two by the side of a creek would be a nice thing to do..... eh? Why you taking a fobbergross to the Mount ? You're only required to be tasteless and tacky for one night......... I smell a rat . Cobber.

Hi Cobber "Why you taking a fobbergross to the Mount ? You're only required to be tasteless and tacky for one night......... I smell a rat . Cobber." As stated on another thread i have been to arsonist and pyrotechnics courses since buying the fobbergross sunliner. After Monday 17/3 nights "Sunliner Fire works display" in the caravan park the " Tacky and tasteless ball " will pale in comparison. Sunliners are very aerodynamic , therefore hieghts of 100 feet ;D ;D with minimal explosives/thrust should be achievable. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.. see i told ya i have been studying hard If old '36 is a real handfull on the road for the FJ why not bring driftwood along and enjoy yourself. The nats are just as much about catching up with forum family as it is about showing off the vans.. No one will think any less of anyone if they dont bring thier favourite van (or thier favourite towcar for that matter) In the end its your holiday and how you choose to spend it is your business. I am taking a slightly different flight path to S.A than the one you have planned. However if our paths do cross........ I will honk the horn. Tell ya to get outta the way, and throw an empty tooheys bottle at you as i blow by.. Naaa mate just kiddin . i hope we do catch up somewhere along the way for coldie.. if not before we get there... definitley when we get there. 'Arold.

Hey Cobber You can't be as old as I thought you were ;D ;D I remember the good old days when an old car used to get to wobbles up, we fixed it with a couple of bags of sand in the boot. Howz about chuckin' a few of them on the drawbar of the van, to keep the nose down betterer - then nothin can stop ya - not even Reddo's fobberthingo Ray

Hi all, There's a great feature article on Kelskombi's VW Kombi and Trail-a Home Bantam combo in the May 2011 edition of "On the Road" magazine. Mentions the www.vintagecaravans.com website too! Guess who the authors are? Yep! The Paparazzi duo - Susan and Keith Hall. Fantastic article and great pics Paparazzis! Don Ricardo
