Well after a lot of searching I have finally found a caravn to put behind one of my two cars...depending on the destination and conditions. I live in Bangalow NSW and cant get down to Adelaide to tow my baby home until April 2008, hopefull i will be able to join the SE Qlders on a few runs in 2008. The 1979 Town car was purchased by my dad in 1980 to tow his 1976 Viscount Supreme I completed the new panel & paint in 2004. Cheers Phillip

Hey Phill Welcome to the forum. You say you have "My baby" (meaning caravan yes/no) in Adelaide that you wont be able to bring home until April. Is it registered I know a bloke that might be able to deliver your van back to at least Newcastle for you after the Mt Gambier 2008 vintage van nationals in a few weeks time. .That is providing it is not 30foot long and weighs 5 tonnes . Would be here around tues 25th or wednesday 26 March. He is a very reliable operator ,charges a very reasonable rate and loves old caravans .......beer too. ..I have heard of Bangalow Wheres Banalow NSW. Reddo

Hi Phill I fully understand what you are saying. Half the fun of collecting these old vans is the road trip to pick them up and the enjoyment you get from using the van and adulation you get from other motorists and vanners along the way.. I also would imagine you would like to be there when the old bloke hands you the keys to the van . One of those "moments in history" that you wouldnt want to miss. I also love your part of the world . By the time us southerners get up the hwy to around Ballina/ Alstonville (Jailbarjuices territory) we feel as though we are already in the tropics. I know where Bangalow is.. i have been through there a million time s But you wrote in your first post "I live in Banalow NSW" ..... and thats what threw me. Tried searching on "Travelmate and whereis" and came up blank. Have a great trip to Adelaide in April. Take care . Reddo ... Newcastle
