After aborting my drive to the Mount in Jenni's FC PV, due to the stifling heat, and the FC gulping ridiculous amounts of fuel with no caravan, I returned home to consider other options of getting to the Mount
The "aborted" gas guzzling FC .......
As a prime example of my superior time management skills, and advanced preparation skills ;D ;D, I discovered the day before I left for The Mount that the 3 core radiator outta the FC wagon wouldn't fit in the van, without modifying the rear the engine mounting and moving the engine back.......and the news was that its 42 degress on the Nulla
the 3 core radiator from the wagon ready to be installed into Ditzy's PV:
The 3 core radiator uses the whole frame of the radiator frame, not just a section of the frame as does the original two core radiator, the 3 core would've been right on the fan
As many others were taking modern towcars, my first option was to take my ol' Staty:
But, as I had to pick up a caravan in SA, there was a problem with the rear end of the Staty
Jenni, being her usual kind self, said, "take my car", and I'll use the Staty, that way you can still pick up the caravan in SA and take it to the Vintvan Nats,
But, ........ just have a look at her car :
Jenni was a FORDGIRL when I met her 4 years ago, look what she drives now
I visualised myself stopping at the truck stops on the Nullabour, where the tough truckies with their shoulder tats inhabit, and me climbing outta this P U R R R P L E car, with
D I T Z Y no plates, and purple fluffy things everywhere inside ......thanks Jenni , BUT NO THANKS .....
Spose it all wood've been OK if I wore my swine pants whilst driving the Ditzy car:
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
so, it was VIRGIN to the rescue , and I did manager to slap a VINTAGECARAVANS.COM sticker on the side of the plane when boarding
