Recently I did a deal with hknut (after much soulsearching from his family ) and added this reasonably rare Brougham to the Daggsey Home of Old Holden Stables ;D. It may have been noticed in photos from the Ocean to the Outback Spring Tour thread. Proved to be a great tow car, although the light power steering meant total concentration is required......driving one-handed with a stubby in the other was certainly out of the question. The FC is currently in dry-dock being upgraded from naturally aspirated 202 to EFI 202 out of a VK Commodore. daggsey

Hi Daggsey Great score. These old Broughams are definitley a collectable item... well in my eyes anyway. Limited run of years Luxury features V8 I reckoin the will come in for some attention by serious collectors in the not too distant future. Excellent period towcar too ;D Reddo

Howdy Reddo, My thoughts are with you on the value of these cars only increasing. Plans are to fit a gas conversion while the State and Federal Governments are handing out rebates....the boot is certainly big enough for a gas tank ;D. It is registered as a 1970, but the codes on the window glass tell me it's a 1969, so it just fit's nicely into the pre-1970 category ;D ;D I love my Statesmans and HK-HT-HGs, so the Brougham to me is the perfect comprimise. Very comfortable tow car, but the FC is more fun (and a "sleeper" ;D). "Built for Aussie conditions and for towing vintage caravans" Daggsey

I had the pleasure of sitting in the rear seat of the Brougham for a while chatting to Daggsey & Carrots whilst we were waiting for Tucky to fix his Valiant ;D on our recent Spring Tour. The condition of the interior & upholstery in this car is absolutely amazing ......the best I've ever seen on a "Big Bad Bro" ;D The engine bay is very clean & correctly detailed also .......a really nice old Bro indeed .......... I dunno about the gas thing Daggsey .......why woud you ......didn't think you'd use it as a daily driver Mark

Hey Daggsey,
Yeh, I'm still coppin it from my 2 daughters and wife but glad it's going to a good home. Just dont have the room for 2 x 72 capri's, 2 x HK sedans, 1 x HT monaro and the Enforcer plus the 66 Baravan and 48 Teardrop on the average suburban block. Hope you enjoy it and give the Brougham the love and car she deserves. Cheers HK Nut
