I have just bought a 16ft Millard van with Vin number; 29763.What year is it?I was thinking 1973ish?? tare weight? fully loaded weight allowed?t has drum override brakes,9 leaf springs, old wind up roof hatch,Gec british domestic fridge,2 burner with grill,2 x single beds and u shaped dinnette at front.8 x 3 louvre windows. Also just found out it has 15 inch rims??Shouldn't they be 13 or 14 inch?Is 15 inch rims a good thing??Is it correct the larger rims have lower load rating?? I will be towing with a 2017 Isuzuz Dmax with towing capacity of 3500 kg,do you think these older vans sway much or will it tow well with my tow rig?? Does this model have aluminium frames?and timber roof beams?? Attachments:

This site is for vintage caravans (pre 1970's) so don't be surprised. Here is a link to the classic caravans (post 1970 to early 80's) although there doesn't seem to be much current activity on it. ditzygypsy.proboards.com/After that you'll need to do wider searching. Remember, the internet does not have answers to everything.

There is an active Facebook page for earlier Millard’s . Perhaps try there Doubt very much that a DMAX will even notice it’s on the back. How it tows will pretty much depend on how you load it . Most older vans tow pretty well if set up correctly.

Thanx Nagari, I intend to load most weight in my ute,and very little in the van>I've heard that if you load weight towards the back of the van,it makes swaying worse. So I will listen to peoples advice, and have possibly only clothes, cuttlery, and a 70 litre water tank full. All other weight will be in the ute.So fingers crossed, she should tow well
