Howdy everyone, I'm New to all this forum stuff aswell as doing up an old carvan but I've been the proud owner of this gem since 2015, it was the last thing my old man bought me before he past away and has overtime been butchered and stripped out for plans to be turned into a nice man cave on wheels lol. So I was hoping if any legends on here could point me into the right direction or any advice on the best way (on a budget) to rebuild the roof and parts of the walls to make it water tight would be muchly appreciated. Will figure out how to post some pictures on here to give everyone an idea

There's really no shortcut to fixing a caravan.
The first thing in your case is to decide what you want to do with the van - as a man-cave or touring van - two totally different things. Restoring a caravan is a bit like owning a boat - they are both holes into which you pour more money than you planned for.
If you want to use this as a touring van you really need to start from the wheels up and make sure your running gear is working. Check for rust and make sure brakes work. As a man-cave, level it off and start waterproofing the roof before lining.

Cheers, yea so want I’m wanting for end result is a solid man cave that’s road worthy so can tow away for new years and maybe 2 other times through out the year, got the base plan of what I wanna do and was all legal and sturdy when purchased and since getting it home recently have gone over the chassis and will get the whole chassis sandblasted and sealed once water tight, but other than that all is sound, will have to re do the roofs framing as a cowboy where it was stored thought he knew what he was doing, so Im hoping I can reuse what’s there or what do you recommend? Would rather spend the wedge now and get the right stuff than have it bugger out later down the track
