Hello, New member, new owner of a 61 Roma 12 footer, mostly original condition. I've done a lot of searching on the internet and have been unable to find any information. Does anyone know where I can locate any manuals on operation or specifications? The 12v systems has been removed and replaced with a few 240v lights and modern 240v fridge. I'd love to know what it originally came with before doing any renovations.
Must replace original water tank. It's only 130mm tall. Can't find anything that shallow. The thinnest I can find is Roto 70 at about 165mm tall. Anything over 130 starts cutting into the already low ground clearance. Any advice? Thank you!

Hi Romathomas, Welcome to the Forum. If you can provide some photos of your van we might be able to give you a few ideas that may help you. There's info on posting photos if you click here. If it all is a bit bamboozling, feel free to email me some photos of your van, and I'll be glad to post them for you. Don Ricardo

Hi Romathomas, Did your Roma have Mustang Sally above the front side window? If so it is a van I bought for my sister many years ago,she painted inside and out and used it for years until her hubby decided he didn’t want to tow anymore.A nice little van and from memory was a 1961 and had an ice box that they replaced with an electric fridge. Cheers hughdeany

Yes, that’s the one! Still in really good shape except for some soft bondwood at two of the corners. The electrics have been replaced with 240. Stove works well.

I was also going to mention, for those that are creative, I once saw, a van they had attached a 55mm white poly pipe along the top side roof, with a tap on one end melted middle of pipe cap, and an entry for hose to the other to fill; there for the pipe could collect natural heat during the day, and could be used as a wash if needed as well. Very clever, I thought.
