I'm partially restoring a 1973 (I think) Viscount Crown, and I'm keen to have the curved bench seat and wall cushion reupholstered. Can anyone advise on to remove the wall-cushion section so I can take it to the upholster shop? I have attached an image of the cushion in question. It appears to fixed directly to the wall, but I cannot see how to remove it- do I need to take the whole wall off the outside to get to bolts or something, or is there an easier way? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Matt Attachments:

Hi Matt10, I had a 1977 Viscount & with a full reno ( I didn't remove cladding) I never found a way to remove the backrest ? It certainly looks a feature in your van. Mustang

Hi Matt10, If you put your hand behind the top and pull the padding away from the wall you will be able to see where the screws are. You can then see if you can see where the screw is inserted from the front, usually through a fold or button ,it will be well hidden! Keep going around until all the screws are removed, you can often just pull gently depending on how long the screws are. Hope this helps hughdeany
