Hi everyone, desperately looking for some advice. I have a 1950 (or thereabouts) Botterill and Fraser Bondwood caravan that is painted inside and out with lead paint. The paint is too chipped and damaged to paint over. Can anyone suggest a lead paint stripper that will remove the paint, but not damage the plywood. I was going to use PeelAway8 as suggested by my local hardware, but the website specifically says don’t use on plywood.
At this point, I haven’t been able to make any progress at all, as every time I touch anything in the van, paint chips and flakes off, and with two small children, I just want the lead risk gone.
Please help me!

Hi novice don't use paint stripper too messy on old timber vans use a wire brush with paint scraper on the end got from Bunnings paint section removed very easy and outside use heat gun and scraper on outside or just scraper try first and light sand to finish off ( Don't forget to wear dust mask ) have found this method the best cheers Chris
