I was chatting a colleague today about vintage caravans and photos etc. He said a relative of his recently passed (96yo) and many years ago he subdivided his block enabling a new house to be built next door. Issue? At the rear of the house in a shed is a very good condition old caravan! I've asked for photos, naturally. There is now no clear path for its removal, so they negotiated with the new owner that when they raise their new (old) home, the existing family can extract the caravan.

The second van looks familiar, but I haven't worked out what it is yet... Third one, no idea! Hughdeany, I think Kenny is trying to come up with photos with just a smidge of caravan in them, just to test out our poor overloaded brains! He's wondering when we will self combust. Kenny, keep going though it's fun! Don Ricardo

Surf Tragic Hi Surf Tragic, There's nothing inappropriate about posting your photos on Kenny's thread as far as I'm concerned. They show a caravan outside a house in Queensland in a B&W photo. Par for the course on this thread. And besides at least I can identify the vans in your photos with 100% certainty, so I'm happy. I had seen the photo of your family Don with the Mini before, but don't recall seeing the other photo with the Humber Super Snipe previously, so am interested to see it. Don Ricardo

I did find photos of other homes in Bath, Beresford and Rifle Range road, but non are the numbers (or altered numbers) you lived at nor had caravans to show. But there was a great one of a dog at #2 Bath Tce!

Just building on your observation Don of a smidge caravan showing, I've also noticed this and therefore in recent packs photos, I have at tried to add one photo with a full van with two part vans. Anyway as a prize for helping, here is something I created. In one street there happened to be two neighbours living beside each other and both just happened to have caravans. So I joined the old photos together with the best Google Street View I could conger up! Enjoy!

I was tempted to put up some potential Olympics because of yesterday's announcement that our great city will host the Olympic games in 2032 but I thought that too much of a "dad joke" so I've stayed away from that. Here are the next three to ponder...... thanks in advance everyone. Regards kenny PS is that another caravan in the bottom left hand corner of the third photo?

But can you ask your B&W photographers to make sure the brand names on the caravans are clearer please? It will make it much easier for us sleuths! Why they insist on blurring the names I just don't know... I can't quite recognise the van on the left, although I'll keep working on it. Could be a Franklin, Coronet or Hilandale?? The one the right, no idea. Let's see how Hughdeany goes. Don Ricardo

Hi Kenny and Don, Yes I agree, clearer names please! The first looks like a Hilandale Telstar and the other looks like an Ambassador. Kenny do theses pics have dates on them? That would possibly help. Cheers hughdeany

Hey Kenny, you do realise you don't actually need to use the "Quote" icon to reply. Simply scroll down to the "Reply" and type in your answers and hit "create post" at the bottom of the window. It helps save screen trees!!!

Cheers hughdeany Hi Hughdeany and Kenny, My only comment is that the first van might be an Orford, based on what we can see of the side profile and the paint job. I’m not staking my life on it thought! Don Ricardo

Thanks Hughdeany! I'm updating the files with your suggestions. Here are the next ones if you're game? Hi Kenny, I’ll jump in first and see if Hughdeany agrees. No 1 - Not sure but the sticker should be recognisable… No 2 - It’s a Viscount sticker, so Viscount Valiant No 3 - Franklin Arrow Don Ricardo
