G`day buddie. New member also. I've got a 62 push button S series. I built the teardrop I posted to go behind it. As far as I'm concerned the Holden and Ford mob should be grateful. after all, when the S series was made both Ford and Holden were chaff cutters easily outclassed by Valiant. Sure they caught up and Chrysler lost the plot by the 80's but my first car was a 69 VG ute. It was a beautie with a lot of grunt in the slant 6. is yours a charger or CM Regal pr what?

Finally some sensible people to talk too. I'm all for posting some picks. I also have a 1977 Regal SE but will be using my PT Cruiser as the tow car. The Regal has never had a tow bar and I intend to keep it that way. All this nonsense about Holdens and Fords when every body knows that the mighty Chryslers were the best cars made in this country. ;D If I had the room I would love too get and old R or S series or even an old AP6 V8.

Gidday Royce & RT Cruiser Fantastic to see some Chrysler people out there. I just about gave up hope Have even been hanging out on a Chrysler site hemi6pack.. and found some towers amongst them Haven't been on the post for a while, for the above reason, but now with some like minded enthusiasts, I'll watch it ever chance I get. Have a 1976 Valiant Ranger. Been in our family since new....30 years as of May 2006.....so I guess that's now vintage ;D Got all the trick gear on it to tow - albeit have already towed a modern variety of caravan - now sold. Early 2007, having a new donk put in it with a crowe towing cam and replacing the diff with a higher ration. The existing motor is not really geared for towing. Alright when on the move, but lacks grunt getting off the mark. Then a full repaint....what's old is new again ;D The intentions once the car is ready is the hunt around for a late 70's early 80's version van. Yep once again not quite the full vintage type but trying to keep in the retro theme. Then we can join the Geriatric Gypsies before we go to the caravan in the sky. The bride & I are freelance hospitality managers www.hostsontherun.com.au and we are never in the one place very long....but 2007 we are taking on a tired property to weave our magic, hence will have the time to do up a classic van. Feel free to communicate info@hostsontherun.com.au. Just luv to swap pics and what ever goodies Cheers & beers ;D Greenie
