Hi! I have recently acquired a Capricorn Caravan and don't really know any information about them. Does anyone know how to find out the age? Or have an idea based on the photo? We are starting the renovation process as the caravan has not been well looked after and has a lot of water damage to the wooden framework. Watch this space! Does anyone have any tips for fixing/replacing the windows or door in these old caravans? Attachments:

Hi and welcome roseanna32, Your Capricorn is about a 1972 model with those 2 wide push out front windows, the back window would be a fixed one ( non opening). Some ( but not all) had chipboard floors, that of course were no good once water got involved! They were a very nice van for their time and were able to be custom built if required, yours is a standard model, should have a little sticker beside the door giving the model. It looks like a 17.6x8 size. Hope this helps Cheers hughdeany

Thank you hughdeany! There is a sticker on the caravan that says Premier Deluxe.
The floors weren't chipboard, but still water damaged and broken so had to come out. All around the edges of the caravan are huge gaps that we have had to try to make more structurally sound and fill in.
We have replaced the majority of the ceiling frames and parts of the wall. New floor is partially laid! Electrician should be in sometime soon to re-wire.
It's challenging and definitely having to think outside if the box!
