I may have brought this up before, but then the caravan sat for a couple of years. I was trying to find colours that may have been in a gypsy thirteen two, my van is different inside to all the 1959 gypsy thirteen two caravans I have found pictures of, mine looks early 1960s, it has flush kitchen cupboard doors with formica, the interior seems to have about ten different colours and patterns of formica inside, I am guessing this must have been at the end of production of the gypsy thirteen two. It has a few features I haven't seen on the other thirteen two caravans. I had contact with someone who worked at gypsy caravans, but they were getting old, losing memory and did have any old brochures or photos that showed colour or my interior. So now I am looking for any colour photos or brochures of any caravans built in 1959 to 1961 to decide on colours and what should be gloss or satin. Under the paint I am finding two colours that would probably not work together, one is a creamy yellow and one is more of a eggshell light brown, there is also some light green that looks less professionally applied with some brush stokes going over the formica edges Wich looked good but I think it was applied later, inside some cupboards is a creamy yellow and inside some is a off white. If anyone has any colour photos or brochures from 1959-1961 of australian caravans in original paint I would like too see. Alot of what I find when I search is just renovated or repainted interiors.

From what we have found in our research when doing up our 3 caravans over the past 10 years is that caravan interiors usually reflect the kitchens of the day. If you look at a modern caravan you will see that it looks like a kitchen in a new display home. In our 1948 caravan we have some original pictures showing bright colours, which is what kitchens looked like after the war, before beige colours appeared in the 50s. So, jump on Google and search for pictures of early 60s kitchens and you shouldn't be to far from the original.
