Hi Jailbarjuice, I could dissapoint you and tell you that it has an original 289 in it as it has done for many years and has pulled some rather large trailers and carried some heavy loads. Since I bought my F100 around a year ago I have been very dissapointed with the 289 as the F100 has a worked 351c in it and it puts the Galaxie to shame. I love it when I can open the engine up when I need to and still have plenty of power over 100klm with my ski boat/caravan on the back to over take even up a hill. I managed to get hold of a 460 big block that we have reconditioned and added a few extras. This should give the old girl the power she needs to pull the Don caravan and all my other toys at what ever speed I feel I need. As for selling the Galaxie I can't see it happening while I'm alive. I buy and sell parts for this model and would most likely have more parts than anyone in Australia. We both have one main thing in common and that is we where both born the same year. Unfortunately for me the Gal will most likley live a lot longer than me as she is as tough as old boots. Regards Bret GALAXY65
