Hello, I was wondering what fellow vintage vanners cleaned the floor tiles with in their vans. I have been experimenting a bit with floor cleaners and sealers to keep them pearly whitish and sparkly longer but believe there must be tried and true methods out there that will keep them in good nick.
What do you use to clean and or seal/preserve yours with? Or is there an archived 50 page thread that I have overlooked?
Leon.

Hi leeron. I used fine steel wool with pure soap (old school velvet soap) and a little water and lots of elbow grease. Gentle circular motions over a small area then rinse off with a damp cloth. It did an amazing job and no nasty chemicals. As for sealers I think linseed oil is recommended (?) or a vinyl floor sealer.

Further to my previous post, google Miracle Spray - lectric soda, white vinegar, dishwashing detergent, eucalyptus oil & water. This stuff apparently is amazing and no nasty chemicals. All available from the supermarket.

Thanks for the replies Gidget, I appreciate the info. I did the fine steel wool with bicarb soda and household vinegar(diluted with water).... It did seem to lift a lot of dirt out of the tiles on the second pass. Adding bicarb soda onto the area I was working helped a lot.
I really appreciate the posts and am always interested in what other methods and ideas people have.
