Achtung !!!!!
Can anyone tell me if they are aware of any other manufacturers besides "Don" that produced vans with bathtubs in them.??
If so... where was the tub situated?? Up front or.. down the back???

Hi Redtubs Interesting post on baths!!! Quite a few early English Vans had baths in them although I have only got the floor plans for one. I have a 1952 book entitled 'The Book of the Trailer Caravan" and it lists the following as all having baths in them: Winchester "Royal" Ensor "Home" Rollalong "Stratus" and Pilot "Panther" From one of my other books is states that the Rollalong "Streamer", which dates from 1936, had a hot water shower and a sunken bath The cost back then was ₤325 ($769), which was half as much again as the price of a Ford V8 which could be used as a tow car. The layout plan I have is for the Rollalong "Sunbeam" which has a seperate bathroom with bath enclosed. To my memory there was some others which also had sunken baths - believe Eccles did one....... but the memory recall is not so good as it used to be Cornish Lass

Hey Royal 313 - thought you would have gone to that great wine-drinkng area of Coonawarra and picked up that Furness on ebay. Very tempting, but just a bit too far away to carry back home on the back of a trailer ;D Ray
