SUNWAGON
Manufactured at one point by
Siddons Leisure Products
31 Breen Street, Bendigo Vic
On 6 September 2014, Shesgothelook posted the following information about Sunwagon camper trailers here:
Most of us (or is it just me? ) tend to think of Sunwagons as being Classic era caravans (post-1969) and the design of the Sunwagons in the above leaflet - and the Fiat 124 in the bottom photo - fit with that impression. However, the following advert was published in the Melbourne Age on Saturday, 7 December 1968 (page 47), and indicates that Sunwagons were being produced in the Vintage era, and therefore earlier than 1970:

Note the statement 'Sink, gas stove, refrigerator, table, built-in cupboards available', which implies that these were all optional extras. Without the extras, the Sunwagon must have been fairly basic.
It isn't clear who was producing the Sunwagons in the 60's. When SGTL posted the Siddons/Sunwagon leaflet above, there was a bit of discussion about the origins of a number of fold down caravans and camper trailers, including the Sunwagon, and the involvement of Siddons. During this discussion, and after obtaining some information from the owner of the 1970's caravan dealership Camperland who sold Sunwagons amongst other small caravans and camper trailers, I wrote:
Siddons Industries comes into the picture because they also decided to get into leisure products and produced Sunwagons (as per the promo document you posted) and Cabana pop-top/foldouts. Siddons Leisure Products also had their own retail outlet(s), including one called 'Holiday Maker' in Croydon (Victoria), where Caravan City now stands.
We also know that at one point Foldvan owned and/or produced Sunwagons (see here), but it is uncertain whether that was before or after Siddons.
