Photos of Paullll's 1964 Rowvan, serial number 399, posted on his behalf:In an email Paullll wrote: "Here she is ! She had 1964 stenciled on the inside wheel arch ... she has been in a field in Wa for a dozen years being used to store lama wool ! I have ripped out the inside and floor , done welding to chasis , painted chasis and have floor to go down also next is reassemble the back end ( everything is there ) and then deal with rotten wood at front - then roof - the roof scares me lol - any advice would be greatly appreciated as I a novice at this - my first project but I am enjoying so much " As can be seen, the date on the galvanised iron in the wheel arch reads "0 9 5 64", indicating either 'September 5 1964' or '9 May 1964'. This indicates that Paullll's van must have been built no earlier than May or September 1964. Paul has also advised that the serial number on the A-frame near the hitch is '399'. This may indicate that it is either the 399th Rowvan built, or more likely the 399th van built after Rowvan was purchased by Keith Odgers in the late 50's/early 60's, or that it is the 399th van of this particular model. It looks as if Paullll has moved the kitchenette from the side of the van to the front, as shown in the photos above, but perhaps he will tell us more? Great to see the photos of your van Paullll, and that you are enjoying working on it. Feel free to ask any questions along the way. Don Ricardo
