( newcastle) My initial enquiry to them re" round head slotted screws indicates they have limited brass wood screw but stainless in 6 of 8G shouldnt be a problem. If it is a problem try "Harris K&G . Hi JBJ,
Re slotted screws, do you want round head or countersunk raised head?
Let me know what type, size, length and number, I will probably be able to supply them.
Also do you prefer brass, chrome, zinc or nickle.
catch you later,
Leigh.

I managed to get a couple of packets, including cup washers from my local 'Home Hardware' store about 6 months ago (since used)

Another good source - though you may not need it - is Chippendale Restorations at Rozelle, NSW. My partner does amateur woodwork, and has sourced domed single slot brass screws from there (they are increasingly hard to find - the world goes over to hex head or diamond head. I think they get their supplies from either england, or more likely India).

Another source - maybe not for you jbj, as you've got what you need, but for others: Chippendale restorations at lilyfield/balmain - they source dome headed single slot brass screws from both england and india (now a major supplier of brassware), along with other brassware. My wife regularly searches for these (the single slot brass screws - most manufacturers have gone over to cross slotted, and the brass is different, more glossy - she's an amateur woodworker and furniture restorationist - so, also thanks to raym, that site will be great for her.
