CROYDON CARAVAN
Croydon Caravans Sales
122 Parramatta Road, Croydon, NSW
Over the years there have been a number of references on the forum to Croydon Caravans who acted as agents for a couple of van manufacturers, including the South Australian (pre-Viscount) Ambassador, Nash Ramble(r), and Viscount caravans. Croydon Caravan Sales was a subsidiary or arm of Croydon Car Sales Pty Ltd.
On 26 April 2014, Observatory posted a photo here of the Croydon Caravans agent's plate found on his Viscount Ambassador from around 1965:
However, it seems that at one point at least, Croydon Caravans also sold its own Croydon-branded vans, as shown in the 1962 Winser caravan manual:

It seems likely that, given other aspects of the firm's history, the Croydon van would have been built by somebody other than Croydon Caravans, and indeed - unlike some other caravan dealers of the era - the advert doesn't claim that the van was actually built by them.
The van in the photo looks familiar, but I haven't yet been able to pin down who may have built it. Ideas anyone??
