Hi all,
I'm Kat and new to the forum. I've joined because whenever i am online trying to find out anything about my caravan, i always seem to to find the answers on old threads here. I figured its about time i participate and share what info i have on my own caravan, and possibly learn more.
My little guy is all original, i inherited it from my grandmother about 8 years ago. Up until then it was living in Niddrie, VIC, garaged and used for storage. My (now) husband and I brought it back to Sydney where we live and have been its proud owners since.
I have been told by my mother and uncle (who are now aged early 60s) that my grandfather constructed and fitted out most of the interior and my grandmother made the soft furnishings (Lynn and Joan Johanson of Niddrie, VIC).
I have had minimal work done on it - someone damaged the air vent in aluminium cladding so that was bent back into shape and put back on, there was some water leaking in the pop-up in the roof so i had that repaired (inner chipboard surround needs replacing), and i had the cover of the water tank replaced to one that locks.
Everything works... gas stove, fridge etc. The original green coloured canvas annex is stored under bottom bunk and entirely intact and undamaged (or at least it was the last time we used it).

I'm a bit sad to say that since i've owned the van it has had to be parked on the street since i dont have anywhere off-street to keep it. Though it is (usually) covered and is used at least once a year for short trips from Syd to Qld.
Im trying to attach images but getting error messages. If i succeed there you can see we generally keep the bed out rather than using the booth seating and table. I've tried to include pictures of everything for those who are interested. I'm happy to answer any questions or try to find out more if i can! (Everything INSIDE the caravan is equally as "vintage" as i have barely taken anything out that was originally stored in there by my grandparents for their own caravanning trips).
Oh yay i finally got images in. Cheers!
