Hi everyone, I recently had a 1965 Viscount Valiant (B2012) follow me home the draw bar has holes in it for a jockey wheel and the little van came with an old jockey wheel and clamp. The problem I have is that the holes in the draw bar are around 140mm in gap and the "standard" jockey wheel clamps seem to be around 150mm. The clamp that came with it does not fit and seems to be a standard size. Does anyone know if you can get smaller clamps? Or am I better off getting a clamp that uses the U bolts to attach?
Thanks, any advice is appreciated, Sonja

So on thorough inspection, I suspect the draw bar under where the hitch is attached is nearly rusted through so going for the safest option and replacing the drawbar so will just get a u bolt jockey wheel

Did you buy that van with a roadworthy certificate??? If you did, then the issuer should be reported and have his licence withdrawn If you are replacing the drawbar, I suggest you make sure that the drawbar supports the whole length of the chassis and not just the front cross member, because stress will find the weakest link pretty quickly!
