Hello All,
I have just purchased a sweet cabana caravan with literally nothing in it. I don't want to fit it fully out, but I do want to put some storage in...
Where do I start? Is there a place to buy already made cupboards that I can buy and fit, or do I take it to a van shop? Or get a builder on board...
I have zero technical skills, I've done house renos, so I'm sure I can do the floors, painting, decorating... it's just the initial infrastructure I'm unsure about...
Thanks in advance!
Lia

Hi Lia, I think houses are easy compared to caravans?
Either a van shop or builder will set you back $80/100 per hour & without a plan you will chew money up very quickly. Have a good look at this site "Down Memory Lane" "Members Photo Album" This will give you a good idea how much work is involved.
To keep safe & sane you need some tools & a place to work, although I have seen some amazing drive-way reno's.
The most important start is to see what has been water damaged, can it be repaired, if so, then make the van watertight. Start your own thread & post images from Photobucket, Tinypic etc, info will flow from the members. Good Luck

Hi Lia, I used a carpenter and he charged $30- an hour. He was happy to work in our driveway.
