Donald have a look here, www.ppacaraudio.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&path=107&product_id=485I just bought one of these really good cameras front and rear excellent quality brilliant HD pictures with automatic digital video recording and much higher resolution 1080p, now i can record more video while traveling the vast space of our country, and with reversing camera function when i reverse my van i can see on the screen what behind my van. I am very happy with the result so for.

Hi Donald,
I purchased a cheapie from ebay some years ago for about $56 and use it regularly when I travel overseas in hire cars, motorhomes and self hire boats in many countries. It records in HD 1920 x 1080 in 10 minute files. It is zoom adjustable. Each 10 minute file is about 1.15 - 1.45 GB, therefore an hour is about 6.9 GB or thereabouts, fours hours is about 27.6 GB. My manual states it will support up to 32GB card and I haven't tested it to see if it would do 64GB or higher. I have two 32 GB cards to place in the DVR and each night I would sit down and use my laptop to download the files to a larger storage device. Suffice to say, depending on the amount of recording during each leg of your travels, you can end up with a massive amount of data which takes time and storage space. After a month of travelling I could easily end up with hundreds and hundreds of GB of footage and that doesn't included thousands of photographs. I wouldn't say the DVR footage is of the highest quality, compared to very expensive DVR's but keeping it in perspective for the amount I spent, it does provide excellent viewing when wanting to remind myself of parts of that particular holiday. And I think for many people that is who just ends up watching it, because I wouldn't even think of making family or friends to watch it! So in summary, time downloading and storage requirements are important considerations.
Regards, Bob.
