Hi Robert To some extent, what you can do depends on the condition of the ply you have exposed. To my mind, I would consider a good sealer/primer/undercoat and top coat of semi gloss enamel, using a short haired (4-5mm) roller. This will give a very good finish. BUT THAT DEPENDS ON THE CONDITION OF THE PLY! Another alternative, if the ply is not crash hot is to hang new vinyl wallpaper to the walls and perhaps paint the ceilings. You may find that you might have to hang a lining paper first, to give an even surface. A variation to the painting theme, if the ply is rough, is to hang the lining paper first and then paint over it as mentioned above. Perhaps the other guys have some better ideas Cheers Ray

hello robert When I was doing up my camper trailer (to use while the carapark was rented out) I got a really good finish with vinyl wallpaper! I of course had to "size" the plywood first, this stops the adhesive soaking into the ply. I found a random pattern that looked, how can I say it! "caravanny" and was really pleased with the results.

You might try turps, thinners or acetone for removing the glue, then sanding. Cheers Ray

Hi Rob Bugger of a job sanding of old glue and sticky gunk. U might try giving it a light lick with a low flame from a L.P.G burner. Dont go apeshit and burn your van to the ground .Sorta try and "crystalise" the glue so that it either drops off the ply or turns hard enough to sand without clogging up the sandpaper. Spose it all depends on the make up of the glue. Waterbase or Gooeysticky ar-la Bear Glue? Reddo - Sitting back sipping on a JB Juice. Footy team ( NRL - West Tigers ) Just won 42 - 6 . Temperature here in Newcastle is 20 dregrees ..... Life is good
