Hi Ho all, as parts are near non existent for Sunliners, Dad and I are looking at getting a couple of windows made, and as with all these things, bulk runs bring the cost down so if you are interested get it touch, Ray

Morning all, so just an update, have had a bunch of enquiries as to getting new side windows made, 10 wanted so far, i am doing a bit more research, as to sizes and if anyone has done this in the last 5 years, as for the front bubble windows a few leads out there to some already existing maker in Liverpool area Sydney, I am 5 mins from Liverpool, but yet to get any details or a phone number, after 2 hours of scrolling the lists archives ( time flies when your heads in the virtual cloud) nothing ! This is my van searching through "Our Touring Past" i worked out that its a 1958-59 Geelong variant. The front windows are different in height to the back windows . Also they have a curved lip all the way around for the rubber seal. Lastly the cure around the left and right edge is different on the left side to the right side. This means that the left side front window, turned upside-down won't fit in the right side front . The same story for the rear windows. Left and right are different - I checked. Here are the pictures of the left windows.

Ideally I would like to make an exact copy of these in polycarbonate (Lexan).

No windows on Sunnys are the same mate. Mine were made about 100mm all-round over size and then with your 4" angle you trim them to size after first making a cardboard template. A product named "corflute" is also good for pattern making' This is available from the big green shed in 1200x600 sheets Beer signs outside your local grog shop are made of the same, maybe he may have some old ones if you ask nicely. The windows are just curved and not "bubble". If you care to send me a PM with your email address I will send you some pictures on how it is done Good luck Rod

Ray 0408219663 Hi Ray, Just joint this forum and saw your post. We have a Sunliner 1962 (?), unrestored and hope to restore it this year. The side window to the left of the door is broken. I don't know much about caravan restauration, but Iam a handyman! When you say windows,in this case a side window do you mean just the glass or the glass and seal ? Can I ring you on the mobile? Thanks and regards Rednose

I feel we need to clarify - the topic here is "Sunliner bubble windows". The front and rear windows are curved around the corners and "bubble" vertically on my 1959 van. The side windows on my van have a fiberglass frame and are a flat piece of 3mm glass. The glass looks original.

Gil, all of the "bubble" windows that I have ever seen replaced on Sunnies are flat and not bubble as the original ones were. To my knowledge no one makes them Rod
