Qld Approx 7kms from Samford village. pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash and droppings to be picked up. one of the traditions of the Christmas party is Ilses table. this is a giveaway table that is made up of donated items from which we choose after receiving a raffle ticket. Sponsors Needed Please!
We are in charge of Ilse's table again this year, and have a few ideas to spice things up a little Anyone in the group who owns a business or knows someone who owns a business, who would be willing to donate anything at all that could be considered 'prizes' - please PM me with what you can bring and the sponsor's details so we can plug them.
This isn't replacing Ilse's table - so don't forget to bring your own personal donation to the table, as per usual (anything you have lying around that you no longer need and could be considered 'treasure' by other VV people).
So don't delay in paying your entry fee for this great annual event - or you may miss out on all the fun and games!

We understand the Christmas party weekend there are other events on. If you are intending to come to Samford could you please just place your name down as coming. You don't have to pay at this time it is just a show of intent. As the time is growing nearer and we have not had many replies yet we will have to rethink the hire of the DJ. Could you please just state your intention to come asap.
Cheers Stan and deb.

Any more sponsors out there?? Suggestions to look for
- Buy one, get one free offers (cup of coffee maybe?) - Old back issues of caravan magazines
- Discount offers from store owners you know - Samplers of any products (car wash, etc??)
Doesn't have to be anything big, just anything to add to the fun and games planned for the weekend.

Another reminder about Christmas party bookings. Only 7 weeks to go. Could those attending please make payments by direct debit to account details mentioned in previous posts. Due to lack of numbers so far we will have to cancel the d.j as his fee was to be $400. However in his place we have a "special" host that will provide us with music, fun and games for the evening so I think that his services will not be missed. The money paid will be used for the hall, welcome Friday night BBQ ( everything provided). And any extra used for food for perhaps sat breakfast or lunch. Let us know what you think. We hope to have more people attending this event as it is a good time to catch up with our vv buddies that we haven't seen for awhile and celebrate the year that was and to make new vv friends as we welcome all newcomers. Please add this date to your calendar and hope to see you there.
Cheers Stan and deb.

Just to clear up a few payment details. $10 is for hire of hall and Friday night BBQ. Camping is $15 per night and the caretaker has asked that we collect the money which I will do on Saturday. Correct money would be appreciated. Hope this clears up payment matters.

Bob, sorry to hear you wont be making this event this year, you will be missed. We understand that this is a busy time of year with a number of events planned for this weekend. If you decide to attend the Christmas party at the last minute, no problems there is plenty of space and no need for bookings. We look forward to catching up with some old faces and welcome in some new. With regards to Saturday night dinner maybe we could share meals like we did one year at Canungra or you can do your own thing. This can be discussed at a later date. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Cheers Stan and Deb

Another new Sponsor!! Thanks to Lisa from the Vintage Caravan Magazine!
Come on everybody - only 2 weeks to go! Don't miss the best long weekend of the year.
Be there or be square.... Come and support this spectacular event and have fun.
The biggest thanks go to Stan and Debbie for putting in so much effort to ensure this annual event is a great success.

We are on a ROLL! Another new sponsor - Autobarn Gympie , from their new location in the industrial estate near BCF and Harvey Norman - stop in and support them next time you are going past.
Now come on everybody - if you have been sitting on the bench waiting to decide whether to come to this MEGA event - think of all the fun and prizes you would be missing out on if you don't come!
The grounds are huge so plenty of room for everyone to spread out, so if you want to keep to yourselves, or join in the festivities - it is up to you. We won't force you to enjoy yourselves

Time is getting close now. We are now providing breakfast of bacon and eggs on Saturday morning so that is one less meal to worry about. We would like Saturday night meal to be a share in the hall but that is up to You. We have had a few put up their dishes and look forward to trying them all. Starting the countdown to seeing you all.

Not long to go now. Just a few details to get sorted for the new members attending. Friday night meet and greet sausage sizzle will happen around 6ish. Saturday morning around 7 we will be providing breakfast. We are hoping to have a communal group of annexes so this will be where the food happens. Food and plates etc will be provided as this is part of your $10. Saturday afternoon around 3 we will have the giveaway table. During this time I shall be collecting payment for camp fees of $15 per nightas per caretakers wishes. Tea on Saturday will be in the hall for those that wish to share. Arrive around 6 and music fun and games should begin around 7. Don't forget to dress in your Wild West theme costume. Photos will be taken upon arrival at the hall. These times are just approx. we don't won't to be too regulated but just thought this might explain some things that happen on the weekend. Hope to see you all there.
Cheers Stan and deb

We would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support on the weekend but outings like this are only made special and memorable because of the people attending. So thanks to all that attended and a big welcome to the newcomers which we hope we will see again. A big shout out to Linda and Peter and miss molly for all their hard work and to lance and sue who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. To everyone we forgot to mention A BIG THANK YOU especially the can can girls, pony express riders and Mexican hat dancers.
Cheers Stan and deb
P.s photos to come on separate thread as Samford photos.

WOW, what can we say except a huge thank you to all who made this one of the best events we have attended. To Stan and Deb for organising the event, with so many extra special and thoughtful surprises. Pete and Linda for making Illsa's table an exciting and memorable event. Miss Molly for great music and hilarious entertainment. The food was great, the weather kind, and as usual laughter was heard from all around the camp. Thank you again. Cheers Phil and Louise
