This journey has begun!
To assess the water damage and find out what joys await me I have started with removing the bed (which I believe had been relocated from its original position) so that I can get to the rear section, lifting floor tiles (which may or may not have asbestos?!), removing some of the external trimming...
As I eased off some of the external aluminum cladding, my heart dropped to the ground along with rotten bits of the wooden frame!
I am determined to keep my spirits and energy high regardless of what hurdles may lay aheadShe is quite a beauty for her age. Interior is original and in great shape. Sadly, though expected, there is quite a bit of water damage and rot to the frame and some of the rear ply flooring and wall. Replacing the curved frame at the rear is going to be interesting, and has me a little "stumped" (so to speak...) What Frankie lacks in rotted framing and water damage, broken windows, rusted out drawbar - she certainly makes up for in soul and charisma!!
This journey is going to be a long and fulfilling one!
