Hi fellow VV's.
I was after some help in the following areas:
Were replacing the whole floor due to rot and we are also thinking of removing the chassis to sand & repaint the chassis. We have currently ripped out the beds and kitchen cupboards, we have only the carcass (frame) of the clothes cupboard and fibreglass seats in the dining area...... We understand we need to properly prop up all the fibreglass shell of the van, to ensure structural integrity when we remove the chassis to do these works, but we are just wanting to know should we do the floor replacement now or can that be done after we do the chassis works?
What is the best type of wood to use for the replacement of the floor, I saw a post where marine grade wood was used as the under floor reinforcing, is this the best option or should something else be used and also what type of wood is best for the flooring and also the cupboards as well.
Also, we are wanting to put a steel bumper bar on the rear of the van, is there anyone that can show us how they installed theirs & what it's attached to, please? Thanking you in advance. Regards, Phoenix
