Back in 2009, Impalabazz posted some pics of his Chev Impala tow car and Franklin1 responded as follows: Hi Barry, it would be good if you could find a pre-1970 version of one of these... (Source: Caravan World, 10 October 1977) 1977 Impala 10 ft Only problem is that I think this company didn't start up until sometime in the early 1970s. You could always buy an old bondy, and pinch the nameplate off a '70s Impala! cheers, Al. Then in 2012 on the Classic Caravans forum here Hughdeani confirmed Franklin1's comment about Impala starting up in the 1970's: Hi Al and Paul, Impala were a yard that bought vans from different manufacturers in the 70s,just put their stickers on them and sold them as Impalas... Cheers hughdeani To carry the story a bit further, in March 2015 the following 1960's Impala caravan was listed on Ebuy, thereby answering Franklin1's challenge to Impalabazz to find a pre-1970's Impala van...the only trouble is that it is a Millard (I think) with Impala stickers on it, confirming Hughdeani's statement: Don Ricardo
