My wife an i own an early sunliner that we plan on restoring in the near future,(once Ive got the t'bird painted and back together). We were very surprised that there are so many old sunliners around.... Jason&jo

G,day J&J
Welcome aboard.
Plenty of info about on sunliners . There is a few resident "knowledgable people" on this site that have a lot of info about sunliners. Humpty 2 has 1 registered a few laying around his shed and yard near Newcastle. Jailbar Juice hails from up near Ballina and is currently restoring one.
Numbers welded on drawbar will give us a clue to its age.
I am a Bondwood fan but have recently been told about a registered early Sunliner in orange NSW. Still trying to find time to rescue it.
stay tuned to this station. I am sure the sunliner crew will reply to your post.
Reddo - newcastle.

you wrote "I am a Bondwood fan but have recently been told about a registered early Sunliner in orange NSW. Still trying to find time to rescue it." Does this mean that we will see you 'pulling plastic' in the future. I can't believe my eyes!!!!

Jason. One of the very early Sunliners...1958/59. Looks complete so the job won't require searching for bits. Note the externally braced bits between the windows!!! Get a wire brush onto the top rails of the chassis, either side. I have seen it stamped onto the plate where the coupling is too!! Don't leave the raw fibreglass exposed for too long...a real bugger of a job to get the surface ready for painting too much to describe here, but if you've done a few restos then nothing is impossible! Get some good pics of that sticker on the back...haven't seen that one before.
Regards Humpty
