Hi does any one know where to buy hub caps as I will be towing my globe behind a falcon but the stud pattern on the globe is holden so don't want to put the holden caps back on, I like the look of the baby moon caps or anything with a plain pattern thanks

Hi
Sorry to be dense on this one but "what are truck shops"?
We live near a small country town that actually feels lucky enough to have a Repco & an Auto one. Lucky because the town has many empty shops. But a truck shop? No way!
What do we look for in the yellow pages in the nearest Big Smoke? Trucks as in "how big are these trucks"?
We'd seriously like to find these baby moon hubcaps for the Ramsay as the Chev ones off our Don look great but the Ramsay needs hubcap clips to hold anything on. It's a toss up with 3 different homemade rims, no clips for hubcaps, so baby moons could be answer? Clips! Ugh!!!!!

Hi Smiles ( & others?)
Most big towns will have a truck dealership, & generally associated with them are "truck shops"
I know Lismore has one associated with Southside Agencies, the truck dealership. I think the Brown & Hurley truck dealership at Kyogle carries a shop also.
I have found the shop a good source for Purple polish, as well as hubcaps & lots of small bits associated with carrying things. There will only be a few sizes in hubcaps I believe, but I reckon if you took a wheel with you, you quite possibly will find something that fits.
If not, find a cap that is bigger than the wheel centre recess. Mark the outside of the cap on your wheel with a texta, after you line it up as close to central as possible. Drill & screw 3 good size self tapping screws into the wheel leaving the heads about 6mm up from the wheel, with just enough clearance to push the retaining edge roll of the hubcap over the screw heads. If you get the screws in the wrong position, simply redrill in another nearby spot, until you get it right. I have fitted baby moons on wheels without hubcap locators in the past using this method.
Must certainly be a truck shop in Murwillumbah or Tweed.

Cheapest way to go would be go to your nearest car wrecking yard and buy a couple from them, only be a dollar or two and you can pick the size you need:)
