Found the site a few days ago when trying to research our new(?) acquisition (pictured below). The van has been in my wifes family since new and was purchased by her grandfather along with a Mercedes 220se (1960-1962 shape?). Took us a week to dig it out of the shed next to her fathers workshop where it has sat since 1981. Interior is immaculate (more photos soon). It is 13'6'' long and about 7' wide. Gas examiners was suprised to find all the appliances working perfectly with no leaks! - WE weren't surprised - knowing my wifes late grandmother and how fastidious she was!

Gas examiner required extra ventilation - hence the holes in the door! (if you look on the ground you can see the vents we're using. Had to use four new vents and moved the old one from behind the fridege to a new (lower) position.
-Pete.
PS. What is the secret to brightening up the oxidised alum on the front, I've tried some weak oxalic acid to no avail!

I didn't get the Merc but it is still there, parked about 15 feet from where the van was, hasn't moved since 1972. My current toy is the ute that spent a bit of time parked near to the Merc (wish I had some "before" pics - it had a VERY hard working life before I got my mitts on it!). -Pete.

I have a couple of other contenders for Tow Vehicles. The first one needs more a bit of work yet: The other one (which requires even more work) is probably a bit of overkill - I'm thinking something like a fith wheel airstream (if there is such a thing!) poor old ute nearly died towing it up my backyard! -Pete.
