I have noticed quite a few comments from people on the site admiring the Model T Ford Depot Hack and "Caravan" posted in several spots so I thought I'd share what I'm up to (albeit slowly) I'm VP of the Model T Ford Club of Vic and have had a 1923 Bus for some years which was poorly designed and not very nice to drive. With out Centenary rally in Echuca late next year, I got motivated to do something with the old girl after several years of her languishing and collecting filth. Why not combine two interests? So the campervan plans were hatched. As most vehicles back then were all "home designs" mine is based on a Martin Parry bodied truck. I'll post some of the "construction so far" pics shortly (as in once I've taken them) in the meantime, these are the demolition stages. Hope you enjoy..

Hi Col,
Unstable, hmmm, that depends. At the overwhelming max speed of 50kmh, it wasn't too bad, but heavy road cambers did make things scary at times. I had to resort ot digging out two channels in the ground for the wheels, so i could get it under the caravan port that is at my place. It's main problem was it was far too heavy. The new body is a combination of hardwood posts and ply panels, with a hardwood frame roof, covered in slats and the period vinyl covering. The roof section winds up, so that now the collapsed roofline is half the height of the original. Updated pics on the way.. Cheers Chris
