Interesting pics Col. I drove past the house where the original one was last week and noticed it was gone. Wondered if he sold it, decided to do it himself or scrapped it! The last time I asked about it he would sell it but at his price I would have doubted he would have found a buyer. I saw the repro in the sandblaster a while back, nice job but I assume the tailgate used is an FJ van one as it is quite different to the original Cordell one. I know a guy who has a 1957 English built Vauxhall Station Wagon that I've had a bit of a hankering for. Only one in Aus. Then again there is a 1954 Velox panel van on a farm that really needs to be saved, one of 6 built for a local Baker, and there is also a ?? gee, where do I stop. Oh yes, right here dear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bye Bye, Leigh.

Here is Phils genuine FX army ute he has just finished, I dragged this back and sold it to him in less than decent condition a year and a half ago. Amazing to see it finished as it had no lower panels left They have even used the original engine still Cheers

Great ute Dale, This Phill guy must be pretty well set up to take on this sort of project and the others we've seen, not to mention the $$$ - allthough he'd have saved heaps on chrome plating ;D Not to many people would have concided that ute even for parts let alone a rebuild - Kingy

kaybee & kb3, Wow. That wagon is awesome, would make a great towcar. Being a wagon would really look the part! As for that ute resto - from that to that in 18 months Amazing! Thanks for sharing! Gristy

great pics thanx Kb's .......its amazing what Phil and his workers achieve I just had a bloke from the Whiteman Park (WA) motor museum come around to borrow my truck for a veteran car rally. He saw the FJ on my T. shirt and told me there's a FJ wagon at the motor museum on loan from Holdens I'll see if I can get up there during the week to take some pics and add to this thread. Mark
