Hi Chippy Ah just what every Caravaner needs ... a good solid erection That is one serious heavy duty annexe/ carport for the honda 70 . 12oz roof and walls. Same as the old marquee tents. Last for ever with a bit of care. Built like a tank . Looks to have the standard "shrinking walls " like a tent too. You could get away with cutting a bit off the poles, but it will never sit quite right if you do that . i reckon with the money you saved on the annexe deal you could get a canvas mob to make up a 200mm "skirt" to fit around the bottom edge. Its either that or buy 20 eskys and park em end for end along the walls to stop the draught ;D ;D ;D ;D Dont want any furry critters coming in out of the cold and turning your annexe into a managery ;D Bit of an effort to put up on your own but worth every bit of it in S@#%y weather. Bring the annexe on the tour. The rest of the circus will help you put up "The Big Top" Reddo

Thanks for all the suggestions on my annex and poles (KEEP THEM COMING)my van is running 14'' tyres and i luv the way it tows and dont want to change tyres for the sake of an annex at the expense of losing its ride when im proberbly just going to use it rolled up and as an awning anyway..check out the difference in height with the ol hardie hangons 6.40x13 it would contribute to the annex length a bit plus not sure if the vans the same height as the one it came off.Not sure on my next move with it yet Cheers Dave

CD wrote "Thanks for the suggestions (KEEP THEM COMING)". We here at the Royal Australian Society for the Preservation of Bondwood Caravans have watched young ChippyD suffer long enough. We would like to point out that Non Ferrous scrap is now bringing an all time high dollar. Given that its not the annexes fault that its too short to marry up to that aluminium thingy we recommend that you dispense with the "chrome carton" and keep the green bit ;D ;D ;D You will find your health will improve, the blotches will clear from your head, the pimples around your "nether regions " will disappear and you will be able to focus on the repair and restoration of that classic little Gypsy Bondy down the yard ;D ;D. See you down at the scrap metal joint and later on down the road to recovery in rehab Reddo .. Pres of the RASPBC
