TRAVELUXE CARAVANS [South Australia]Sold by Motors Limited Cnr Flinders Street & Gawler Place, Adelaide, South Australia (or should that be Gawler - anyone know??) Note that the name Traveluxe was also used for caravans built in Queensland by a company of that name - see here
Advertisement for Traveluxe Caravans published in the Adelaide News on Friday, 17 December 1948 (page 3): (Source: National Library of Australia nla.gov.au/nla.news-article129891690 ) A further 'advertorial' for Traveluxe which appeared in the Broken Hill Barrier Miner on Tuesday, 28 November 1950 (page 3): (Source: National Library of Australia nla.gov.au/nla.news-article49591771 ) It is evident that Traveluxe caravans were re-branded Furness caravans. I am guessing that Motors Limited may have been a car dealer in Adelaide. Perhaps one of the South Australian forum members can tell us? Don Ricardo

Hi SGTL,
Great advert! I'm sure that the Traveluxe was a Furness. Apart from being a Furness shape, it's got a sliding door and sliding windows, and I don't know of any other manufacturer that incorporated those features. I guess the Traveluxe was another example of badge engineering in South Australia.
