Hello & welcome Khuds. Firstly, it's a big help if you say where you are. It costs a lot of money to transport caravans across this big country so what might seem like a bargain buy in Perth becomes over budget by the time it gets to Sydney! Also how far are you prepared to go with restoration? Do you have lots of skills or lots of money to throw at others? Many people on here have purchased vans that appear to not require much work, only to find them badly water damaged, rusted chassis etc. Sunliners are also very popular & tend to make good money even in poor condition. Anyway, not to put you off! There is this one on eBay atm. www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sunliner-caravan-/111408356309?pt=AU_Caravans_RVs&hash=item19f0749bd5&_uhb=1

Hi shesgotthelook, Thanks for the welcome and honest feedback. I am brand new and don't have many skills- I'm still learning. However my partner is very skilled and is helping me.
We live in remote WA in the Kimberley so unfortunately freight is very expensive from anywhere- we are prepared for that initial cost as well. Depending on the van we would either have it trucked up or go pick it up on a trailer. We would be willing to travel to Perth and Adelaide.
In terms of the type of the condition, we are looking for a project and reno, we don't want a sunliner with too much fibreglass damage that requires lots of repairing. We are comfortable with cabinet making and refitting the inside and outside. My partner is an electrician and an all round handyman so we are comfortable with a challenging project as long as there isn't any major structural work that needs to be done.
The best buy for us would be a van that could be towed however if required we do have a large trailer we can use to pick it up and transport it home.
Thanks for the link above, I have been in contact about this van however the freight is too expensive and we can't pick it up right now- so unfortunately have to let this one go. It looks like a great van though and I'm sure the successful bidder will be thrilled.
If anyone knows of any others coming online for sale, drop me a line. I'm really looking forward to learning from you guys on this forum on how to restore and renovate my own Sunliner so thanks again for the welcome.
Cheers K
