Nice large vents for the fridge, I found by using a flue & a 12v blower fan (not law under 90ltr) helped dissipate the heat, but looking at your setup it should be fine.
I like your idea of no oven, we used ours in the modern once in two years, but we use a portable gas stove a lot.
Looking at your wall studs, are the "glassed" to the wall or did you use adhesive? or both? Cheers Brent

Hi Brent i am a little unsure of what is required for the fridge venting but these are the original ones in the van so happy to hear they should be adequate. Yes, we probably wouldn't use the stove either so I will add a gas bottle to the drawbar but just for the Webber which should be fine for us. All the wall studs were positioned into place with sikaflex polyurethane and then fibreglassed on as per original. Probably overkill but easy whilst it's all stripped. cheers ted

.......I am happy to take some more shots and post them in the next few days as I will mock up the whole frame before uninstalling and fixing it all together...... Please do, that would be fantastic! It's one thing to know the theory, but another thing entirely to see it put into action.....

Tackled the kitchen over the last few days and needed a lot more thought than I realised. Picked out a fridge and microwave to get correct openings etc. Didn't want the sink to high so divided the top drawers up and whilst shallow they should be fine for utensils etc.. I have made new drawers and cupboards for the kitchen and gave them all and undercoat/ sealer. I have been plodding along finalising all the woodwork etc and have all of a sudden realised I need to start picking colours. Ha... That's going to slow the whole process down!!! Colour choices and me just don't mix !! Next I need to spend a good day inside the van sanding all ready for undercoat. Cheers

You don't believe how many cupboards/drawers are in a small van until you lay them out together. I like the single bed idea & the front access to the seat/bed storage areas.

Your right there Brent, but you certainly get an idea when you have to sand all the old paint off. Other than the kitchen layout all the beds & cupboard layout is an exact copy of he originals so am using all original doors etc.

Excuse the photo quality.........Finally managed to get some top coats on the interior , decided to go with a quality oil based house paint as I am not really comfortable doing to much 2k at home, just hope I don't regret it. Seems to of come out fairly good. test fitted all of the doors, drawers etc before final doing the top coat on them. Will use 2k for these as they area little more manageable Time to get started on the windows , unfortunately

Hi Chris This style window on my van has a clear annodised coating over them and its probably the same with most of this style. With mine, they weren't painted but they has some pretty heavy corrosion which had eaten into the clear coat and looked pretty bad when polished. I needed to hit them with a variety of papers up to 1200. There is still some small imperfections but I figure the old girl needs to show her age !! I am planning on sanding, cutting and and have decided to go over them all with fine steel wool after that. This way it will be easy to maintain and it still give a nice sheen without highlighting any imperfections to much. Its a personal choice though I spent probably 2 hours on the first window but all I can suggest is put some music on, grab a beer and polish away....... Cheers
