Hello,
Some time in the next couple of weeks I hope to get an electrician to replace all the wiring, sockets and switches in my van.
When I looked around the van the other day I noticed that there were only two light sources in the van, one light at the front end of the van above the dinette/double bed area and one light at the back of the van providing light over the two single beds.
I was wondering if anyone else who has gone through rewiring their van has found it advantageous to put an extra light or two in the van and,if so, where you have found the best place to have the extra lights is.
I imagine somewhere above the cooking area would be on of those spots where some would like to have an extra light.

Hi Sarah, my Phoenix had one crappy fluoro in the back corner & a 24V above the table. I replaced the fluoro with a power point (giving me 2 power points!), put an old bedlamp over the bed, & 2 LED downlights covered by traditional shades, 1 over the sink & 1 above the table. An electrician did all this for me & replaced the old power inlet etc with a 15amp inlet & circuit breaker. You can see my lights here; vintagecaravans.proboards.com/thread/13016/phoenix-restoration?page=3

Hi Murray and shesgotthelook,
Great ideas there. I especially like the idea of getting extra powerpoints and also the idea of strip lighting in the cooking area.
Thanks gys!
