Hi I have just worked out the photo pasting setup, thanks to Jims easy instructions [now if I can do it anyone can]. If anyone can help with info on this caravan that we have just purchased would be appreciated. We are new to these threads. thanks Rob

Those mid 1960s aluminium vans are so cool, buff them and they are easily equal to an American AIRSTREAM,as a matter of fact they are better because they are Australian. Nev

;D Gidday Cusso there were a few makers of that style van in the late 50s 1 was the early Franklin is very much like The Grand pooh-Bahs Franklin which would have to be the most original of that style van I have seen Im not saying it is a Franklin just that there is a similarity with the shape and return plastic windows the other was a highwayman and the other a westport Will

Your right Will it's very similar to the same age Franklin Caravelle. The windows are more of the style used in early Travelhomes. I have seen pics of an early van elsewhere on the www that looked very similar, was told it was a Coronet. Pehaps some of these early vans were rebranded? If your gunna give her a polish, Autosol works good for me. Available in a tube from Autobarn, I apply by hand and buff of with a polisher using a lambswool buffer. Someone else will no doubt have other (possiblwe better) sugestions. Good luck with the van, I reckon it will come up a treat. Cheers, Tinnie

Hi Cusso
Scored yourself a winner there, saw an earlier one recently which had single window across the front, owner said it was 1965 same interior layout as yours. I had the impression that external side panels were ribbed fibreglass made to look like aluminium, is that the case with yours ? will post some photos in near future

:)Hi Cusso 57 after seeing your post on Ali vans I thought I would get my Aluminium Teardrop out of storage and take her for a run seeing the glass Kennedy has had most of the attention since ELVIS my splinter van left the building Last year time to give TIA a bit of a run built from the panelling from a DC3 aircraft Will
